Youth will not move as ‘puppets’, says BJP chief Nitin Nabin after CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke’s nation-wide protest warning

Shortly after US-returned Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke held a massive protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi and gave an ultimatum to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to resign over NEET paper leak, BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Saturday said that the youth of the country will not move as “puppets” in the hands of people sitting abroad.

Speaking at the ‘Intellectuals Meet’ in Ranchi, the BJP chief said, “Some people, sitting abroad, think that they will dictate the direction to India’s youth. But India’s youth will not move forward as puppets in the hands of a few people.”

He further stated that his party will not allow the democracy of the country to be destroyed.

“To those who want to drag this country’s youth into negative politics, I warn them that India’s youth will engage in positive politics. We will oppose on the basis of democracy, but we will not allow the standards of democracy to be destroyed,” he added.

His remarks, seen as an apparent reference to the Cockroach Janata Party’s protest against Pradhan over the issue of NEET paper leak, came just hours after the satirical outfit’s founder warned of nation-wide protests if the minister doesn’t resign.

Addressing the large gathering of his supporters, alongside renowned scientist and social activist Sonam Wangchuk, Dipke declared that the CJP will hit the streets across India to demand the resignation of Pradhan.

He gave the minister an ultimatum to resign till 5 pm but there was no direct response from either the minister or the government.

Dipke also announced another major agitation on June 13 at the same venue, urging his supporters to join in large numbers.

After ending the protest, he thanked CJP supporters for participating in the agitation, adding that today’s protest was just a “trailer”.
